IN THE MID-WESTERN PART OF THE U.S. THE SEASONS ARE SEVERE. THE SUMMER'S ARE HOT AND STICKY, WHILE THE WINTER FREEZES YOU TO THE BONE. CREATING A BETTER BLOG PART 2 / WHAT I'VE LEARNED SO FAR.....
SOMEONE RECENTLY ASKED ME WHAT I'VE LEARNED THIS PAST YEAR. I REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT IT, AND THOUGH NONE OF THESE THINGS ARE PROBABLY ORIGINAL, THIS IS WHAT I CAME UP WITH. FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE REALLY IMPORTANT. Rarely do I see energy in playing like I did at this gig with Antonio Hart at the Baltimore Museum of Art. I didn't know that he was from Baltimore and attended the Baltimore School of the Arts. Went to Baltimore to hear some jazz and eat some oysters. Dropped into the Walters and remembered how much I like small art museums in small cities.The interior views are nice.... Al Jarreau and the Airmen of Note
Great concert by Al Jarreau. I listened to his stuff for years so was thrilled to see a free concert with him backed by the Airmen of Note. This was very fortunate in that on July 23, 2010 Jarreau was critically ill at a hospital in France, while in the area to perform a concert at nearby Barcelonnette, and was being treated for respiratory problems and cardiac arrhythmias. WHY I DON'T WEAR JEANS , MUCH ............
I KNOW !!!I'm wearing jeans.I have probably posted myself in jeans no more than 10 times at the max.There are many reasons.1. I am shaped like a boy.(my waist is only 2 inches more than my hips)2. They aren't comfy.3. I need low-rise or men's jeans to allow for a no-saggy butt. (again, no butt or hips:)And forget high-waisted ones!I have to wear those at least 3-4 sizes too big to fit my waist.

Bohemian Earth Tones
